Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
LaterLoom is built to keep your data yours. This policy explains what happens to the information you put into the app and to any message you send us. It applies to the LaterLoom macOS application and this website.
The short version
- Your notes, cards, projects and settings are stored locally on your Mac and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud account.
- We do not run a server that receives your content. We cannot read it, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.
- AI features are optional and off by default. They only send data when you enable them and add your own key.
Data stored in the app
Everything you create in LaterLoom is saved on your device. If iCloud is enabled on your Mac, the app uses Apple iCloud (CloudKit private database) to keep your data in sync across your own devices. That data lives in your personal iCloud account under Apple terms. We have no access to it.
Optional AI features
LaterLoom includes optional features that use OpenRouter, a third party AI provider. These features are disabled until you turn them on and enter your own OpenRouter API key. Your key is stored in the macOS Keychain on your device. It is never written to iCloud, exports or logs, and it is only used to authenticate requests you initiate.
When you use an AI feature, the specific text needed for that action (for example the note or card you are working on) is sent to OpenRouter to produce a result. That request is governed by OpenRouter's own privacy policy. If you never enable AI, no content leaves your device for this purpose.
Analytics and tracking
LaterLoom contains no third party analytics, no advertising identifiers and no cross app or cross site tracking. This website does not set advertising cookies.
Contacting support
If you email us for support, we receive the message, your email address and anything you choose to include. We use it only to answer you and we do not add you to marketing lists.
Data retention and deletion
Because your content is stored on your device and in your iCloud, you control it. Deleting the app and removing its iCloud data removes your content. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.
Children
LaterLoom is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date at the top of the page.
